We always knew that Multiples Illuminated would not and cannot stop at one book.

It made sense to publish a series, documenting the parenting years from conception to grown and flown.

Our first book Multiples Illuminated: A Collection of Stories from Parents of Twins, Triplets and More features beautiful stories from parents who shared their experiences in the early years, and we are so thrilled that once again, we have another group of storytellers sharing their tales of life with multiples, from toddlerhood to tweenhood.

Multiples Illuminated: Life with Twins and Triplets, the Toddler to Tween Years brings to you 19 stories ranging from potty training twins to helping multiples figure out their individuality; from separation anxiety to inseparable siblings.

We have the hilarious to sometimes heart-wrenching, but always honest and relatable experiences from parents who are navigating a minefield of life with kids aged two to 12.

We are excited to introduce you to the contributors of the second in the series of Multiples Illuminated (there will be a few familiar faces!).

Caryn Berardi works in higher education and is passionate about helping students grow both personally and professionally.

She tries to do the same at home, but her toddler twin boys don’t listen very well. Caryn lives in Texas with her family and her writing has been seen on The Huffington Post, Kveller, Grown and Flown, Scary Mommy, Beyond Your Blog and Modern Loss.

Maureen Bonatch grew up in small town Pennsylvania and her love of the four seasons—hockey, biking, sweat pants and hibernation—keeps her there.

Before becoming a middle school English teacher, Jared Bond was a stay-at-home dad to his triplets.

While he doesn’t remember much about that first year, he took copious notes so that he could share the experience with other parents of multiples (and himself, once he caught up on sleep).

Rebecca Borger lives in Maryland with her husband and nine children, including five-year-old fraternal twin girls.

She earned her BA in English with Writing and Education from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Whitney Fleming is a communications consultant and freelance writer living in the suburbs of Chicago.

MeiMei Fox is a New York Times bestselling author who regularly blogs for The Huffington Post and MindBodyGreen, among other publications.

Also, MeiMei works as a life coach, assisting clients in realizing their most ambitious dreams.

She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors and distinction from Stanford University, with a BA and MA in psychology.

MeiMei lives in Hawaii with the Love of Her Life, her husband Kiran Ramchandran, and their twin boys.

Gina Granter teaches English at Dawson College in Montreal, where she lives with her three daughters.

She is a storyteller, an occasional stand-up comedian, and an annual seamstress of Halloween costumes.

Amy Kestenbaum lives in Los Angeles with her four children ages 4-10 (including twin boys, age 8) and her husband, Mark.

Originally from Chicago, Amy graduated from Emory University and UCLA School of Law.

In the rare moments when she’s not in carpool lines, Amy holds leadership positions in several nonprofit organizations in her community.

In 2016 Andrea Lani left a 17-year career as an environmental regulator to hike across Colorado with her husband and three sons and write a book about that adventure, a similar hike 20 years earlier, and two decades of change in the Rocky Mountains.

Her writing has appeared in Snowy Egret, Saltfront, and Brain, Child Magazine, among others, and she’s an editor at Literary Mama.

Emily Lindblad is a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, and mother of triplets.

She lives with her family outside of Boston, Massachusetts and believes that her children’s current goal in life is to try out every public toilet in the state.

Kari Lutes is a twin turned writer through the detailed, imaginative games she played with her twin sister, Kayla.

Kari is a senior creative writing and English major at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Eileen C. Manion grew up in New York and moved to Montreal in 1969 where she got her Ph.D. in English at McGill University.

Since the mid-1970s, she has been teaching English at Dawson College in Montreal.

In 1987, she had triplet daughters, one of whom currently lives in Canada, while the other two are in the U.S.

Jessica Martineau is a freelance writer, avid blogger, workout-nut, foodie, and lover of all things wine.

Jessica’s writing is inspired by her family that continues to grow.

She is the mother of four girls, Presley, identical twins Ava and cancer survivor Mila, and latest addition, Lenin.

Her work portrays the full spectrum of the realities of motherhood.

She shares stories of the joys, fears, aggravations, and the heartache of parenting.

Her writing has been featured on various sites including Mamalode, The HerStories Project, and Scary Mommy.

Jackie is also the co-creator and co-writer of the upcoming short film Bacon Wrapped Dates, and occasionally performs sketch and musical comedy in Chicago.

Shelley Stolaroff Segal is a playwright, performer, and essayist living in Greensboro, NC. My Son, her play about autism and race, premiered in NYC and was presented at TEDx East.

Her non-fiction credits include The Washington Post, Blunt Moms, Voices from the Spectrum, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Multiples Illuminated, and From Sac Literary Journal.
